You Chose Me As Your Servant
You chose me as Your servant … to glorify Your name.
Not to serve in bondage, but for the victory I would claim.
That I would thirst to know You, Your power and Your strength,
Wisdom without measure, enduring without length.
You chose me as Your servant … by flesh and pride, enslaved.
But by the blood of Jesus, a sinner would be saved.
A Savior, sent to free us, to suffer in my place.
Your love for me, beyond my comprehension, to embrace.
You chose me as Your servant … for the gifts You could bestow.
Your Word would be the sword of truth, that every heart would know.
Living waters quench me, my hunger to increase.
Your Spirit washes over me, Your blessings never cease.
You chose me as Your servant … to You my hand be raised.
On my knees, to worship You, Your Holy name be praised.
I can’t sing loud, or long enough, to proclaim “How Great Thou Art”.
Reassurance from the Father, “I know what’s in your heart”.
You chose me as Your servant … what gift can I repay?
That You would be the potter, and I would be the clay.
You accept our song of praise, to show us what is true.
Asking of your children, “love Me, as I love you”.
You chose me as Your servant … provision, by Your hand.
God of grace, I ask You, for a heart to understand.
Peace, and joy unspeakable, for a servant to receive.
I’ve been humbled by Your presence. “How could I not believe?”
You chose me as Your servant … to glorify the Lamb.
Without You, I am nothing - it’s because of You, I am.
That somehow He could use me, His name, to glorify…
I know He hears, I speak through tears …"it’s my privilege to try”.
Isaiah 43:10 “You will be my witnesses”, declares the Lord, “and My servant whom I have chosen,
so that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He.
Before Me no God was formed, nor will one come after Me.”
