Wonderful Counselor

John 14:16  "And I will ask the Father,
and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever -

The counsel of the Holy Spirit… give me ears to hear;
The voice that whispers to my heart… and gently draws me near.
Strength to stand, a knee to bow;
A heart that waits, when wanting now.
The voice of grace that speaks correction,
Listen… and receive direction.

The counsel of the Holy Spirit, embedded deep within;
Speaks to me of righteousness, convicting me of sin.
I face no battle on my own;
His presence there… I’m not alone.
Guiding me, He’ll gently prod.
The Holy Spirit… gift of God.

The counsel of the Holy Spirit, dwelling in my heart,
Peace and understanding, wisdom to impart.
What to think and what to pray,
What to do and what to say.
What to keep and what to throw,
When to stay and when to go.

The counsel of the Holy Spirit, waiting for my call;
Communion with the Father… the greatest gift of all.
In the stillness, He’ll be heard;
With understanding of God’s Word.
My shield against a poison dart;
The One who knows the Father’s heart.

The counsel of the Holy Spirit, gifts You would bestow;
Revelation knowledge, Your living waters flow.
He would speak… that I would hear;
Longing now, to draw me near.
Let me be the empty cup…
Holy Spirit, fill me up.

The counsel of the Holy Spirit… give me eyes to see.
To comprehend the Holiness, that lives inside of me.

Isaiah 11:2-3  The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him - the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD -
and He will delight in the fear of the LORD.

Mark 1:8  "I baptize you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."

John 3:34  For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God,
for God gives the Spirit without limit.

John 14:16-17  "And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor
to be with you forever - the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept Him,
because it neither sees Him nor know Him. 
But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.

John 14:26  "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name,
will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."

John 6:63  "The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing.
The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life."

Titus 3:4-6  But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us,
not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy.
He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior,

Psalm 74:24  You guide me with Your counsel, and afterward You will take me into glory.

Zec 4:6 ... 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty.

Jude 1:20  But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy spirit.

John 15:26  "When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father,
the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, He will testify about Me."

2Ch 18:4  But Jehoshaphat also said to the king of Israel, "First seek the counsel of the LORD."

Psalm 16:7 I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me.

Romans 8:5-6  ...but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace;

Romans 8:14  because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
:15 For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to featr,
but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by Him we cry, "Abba, Father." 
8:16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
