To Everything… A Purpose
The Lord is our Shepherd, we shall not need… to ever take a breath,
A tiny heart will beat with purpose, even unto death.
A precious life, with destiny… it isn’t ours to choose.
However brief the life, it’s one the Lord can surely use.
Jeremiah 1:5 ”Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart;”
1Corinthians 15:54-57 …”Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,
Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is The Lord’s purpose that prevails.
Ecclesiastes 11:5 As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb,
so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.
Jeremiah 10:23 I know, O Lord, that a man’s life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps.
The Lord is my Shepherd. And He would only ask that I believe it.
I want for nothing, His gift of grace; by faith I will receive it…
The gift of peace unspeakable, in times of bitter sadness,
Instead of mourning, freedom from despair… the oil of gladness.
Matthew 21:22 “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him
must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence,
so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You.
Isaiah 61:1-3 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,
… to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion – to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
The Lord is my Shepherd, I'll not be lost... To walk with Him, divine.
To trust, and just rely on Him… provision by design.
A light unto the darkness, beauty from the ashes born,
To praise Him at all times, the One who comforts those who mourn.
John 10:4 “… His sheep follow Him because they know His voice.”
2Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness
through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.
Psalm 62:8 Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge.
Psalm 34:1-2 I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.
My soul will boast in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want… His peace will be revealed.
Through grief He will be glorified – the brokenhearted healed.
A life that touched so many, still present in the loss.
Reminds us of the promise, accomplished on the cross.
Amos 4:13 He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals His thoughts to man, He who turns dawn to darkness,
and treads the high places of the earth – the Lord God Almighty is His Name.
Isaiah 25:8 … He will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces;
1Peter 1:6-7 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.
These have come so that your faith – of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire –
may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
2Timothy 1:10 … but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus,
who has destroyed death and has brought life and immorality to light through the gospel.
Romans 4:20-25 (of Abraham) Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God,
but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised.
This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.” The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone,
but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness - for us who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.
He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want… provision by His hand,
Be my strength in times of trial, the Rock on which I stand.
Lord I want to follow You, and let this be my choice…
That I would listen and respond… to that "still, small voice."
1Chronicles 29:14 Everything comes from You, and we have given You only what comes from Your hand.
Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped.

Psalm 143:10 Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; may Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
1Kings 19:12 … but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.
Isaiah 30:21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying,
“This is the way; walk in it.”
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want… Please, let me never stray.
But always let me seek You first, and willingly obey.
Let my heart be open to each chapter of the story.
The heart that beat with purpose… reveals to us, Your glory.
Luke 1:78-79 ((Zechariah’s Song)…” because of the tender mercy of our God,
…(He) shine(s) on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.”
1Chronicles 16:11 Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always.
Psalm 63:1 O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek You; my soul thirsts for You,
John 14:23 “If anyone loves Me, he will obey My teaching.”
Romans 1:5 Through Him and for His name’s sake, we received grace and apostleship
to call people… to the obedience that comes from faith.
Jeremiah 24:7 I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord. They will be My people,
and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with all their heart.
Ephesians 1:11 In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him
who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, …
John 10:27-28 “My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life,
and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hand.”
1Peter 3:15 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer
to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
1Thes 5:16-18, 23-24 Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you
in Christ Jesus. May God Himself, the God of peace sanctify you through and through.
May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The One who calls you is faithful and He will do it.
