Two souls for a union, their lives forever changed.
The promise made, a covenant…to never be estranged.
They now begin the journey; to embrace a brand new life.
No longer who they were… but now a husband and a wife.
A vow to stand together, in blessing and in strife,
Partners in the journey…advocates for life.
Receive the blessing granted those, who stand in one accord.
Recall who blessed this union… your Advocate, the Lord.
Each day offers opportunity… to fill your partner’s cup,
To be that place of refuge, to lift each other up.
The mountains climbed together, will reap a vast reward.
And in so honoring the covenant… you glorify the Lord.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.
