Scriptures and Prayer           for a Forgiving Heart

                  Colossians 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievance you may have against one another.              Forgive as the Lord forgives you.

Luke 6:37 Do not judge, and you will not be judged.
Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned.
Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you...
A good measure, pressed down, shaken together... it willl be given to you.
For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Proverbs 19:11 A man's wisdom gives him patience;
it is to his glory to overlook an offense.

Isaiah 59:12 For our offenses are many in Your sight,
and our sins testify against us.

Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another,
forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you.

Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Lord, help me to accept
the changes and challenges that are before me.
Help me to see my "mountains" as opportunities;
opportunities to be a blessing to others,
opportunities to glorify You in the way I embrace them.
Lord, give me a mind and heart to seek you;
to invite Your counsel, give me ears to hear Your voice.
Help me to trust in You, to know and remember
that You work all things for good, that You are above all,
and that I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
I thank You for this day.
I thank You for this opportunity.
Be the Lord of my life, and let my life glorify You;
in Jesus name...Amen
