Surrender

Surrender: v. 1 yield to the possession or power of another
2 to give up to the power of another; submit or yield.

When I come on bended knee,
“Help me, Lord”… He smiles at me.

Pride forsaken, tears of shame.
“ Child, My love remains the same.”

To seek Him first, in all I do.
“Surrender child, I’ll come to you.”

A willing heart would be the task.
“My child, you only need to ask.”

A humble heart, a soul to bare.
“My child, I’ll always meet you there.”

Psalm 25:9 He guides the humble in what is right
and teaches them His way.
Psalm 51:17 the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.
Jeremiah 31:3 “I have loved you with an everlasting love;”
Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek Me and find Me
when you seek Me with all your heart.”
Psalm 51:12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
Matthew 23:12 “For whoever exalts himself will be humbled,
and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”

James 4:6-8 But He gives us more grace.
That is why Scripture says:
“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Come near to God and He will come near to you.
